Rev. Andy has now completed his walk, and you can hear all about his experience by watching the video opposite. If you haven’t yet contributed, there is still time to support his JustGiving page by clicking HERE.
During his sabbatical, Andy has covered more than 100 miles across three pilgrimage routes in England and Ireland. His major challenge, however, was the Canterbury Way. From Tuesday 15th July to Tuesday 22nd July, he walked the 90-mile route from Southwark Cathedral in London to Canterbury Cathedral, following the path made famous by Geoffrey Chaucer in the Canterbury Tales, which he read in a modern English translation along the way.
Andy undertook this pilgrimage to raise funds for our parish link with Olo Diocese in South Sudan. The money raised will either support a personal visit to meet the church there, should conditions permit, or will be directed to our current parish project, providing a much-needed borehole and well to make drinking water more accessible for the community.
Don't forget, if you would like to support this effort, Andy’s JustGiving page remains open for donations. Simply click HERE to visit his page. Contributions can also be given directly to Carol or Joyce.
